Priver's technical consulting for making informed decisions

During an event organized by AIMAN Puglia at the Molino Casillo facility in Corato (BA), Priver participated in a training day dedicated to organization and big data, defined as "the new horizons of maintenance."

It was a moment of in-depth analysis aimed at all maintenance professionals, where Priver presented the Project for the unification and rationalization of the reducer, gear motor, and motor park of the milling sector of the Casillo Group.

In a context of redefining and analyzing new maintenance management systems, AIMAN's initiative represents an important national reference aiming to involve and spread the excellence of European maintenance

        1-1

        The Optimization Project

Priver's project for warehouse downsizing was realized for the Casillo Group, a company in the Food sector and a world leader in the processing and distribution of wheat. With a milling sector of high production capacity, counting 14 systems in the national territory, the project arose from the need to reduce maintenance costs, especially those due to the lack of a component in stock during a damage and the maintenance of spare parts stock.

The goal of the spare parts warehouse project for Casillo was optimization in maintenance, logistics, and purchasing, to contain the number of codes through the standardization of reducers and gear motors. The project for the unification of the reducer and gear motor park took place over more than a year of work and was carried out in three stages.

In the first phase of over 1470 hours of work, the Priver team was engaged in on-site surveying of the installed base, verification of technical characteristics, and searching for the manufacturer's alternative. This was followed by unification and rationalization of the installed base and reduction of the maintenance warehouse. Priver's contribution then continued in identifying strategic items and sizing the spare parts warehouse.

        Efficient Spare Parts Management

To meet business needs and propose high-tech solutions, Priver was able to provide a technical solution to a significant plant problem. The proposed solution, after careful evaluation, was the rationalization of the number of codes in stock, through the choice of a single manufacturer. This ensured all possible solutions used by plant manufacturers.

The census of the machinery park of the Corato and Tandoi facilities initially recorded 920 gear motors from 18 manufacturers besides Rossi. A number too high to allow for the creation of a functional and economically sustainable spare parts warehouse. Priver's choice of unification and rationalization led to a significant reduction in the number of reducers, gear motors, and motors to about 400 units.

Thanks to the use of some inverters, electronic devices for speed control/variation, the technical team of Priver and Rossi was able to unify gear motors with similar or very close technical requirements.

Priver's Commitment: Innovation and Predictive Maintenance

During the phase of presenting the issues and engineered solutions proposed, Eng. Luca Lettino, Key Account Manager, illustrated Priver Industriale's design in optimizing production processes thanks to customized plant solutions.

Since its establishment, the technical know-how accumulated over the years allowed Priver to offer a strong support to clients and their businesses. Priver has always strived to pursue its goal of implementing modern technologies in the production processes of every industrial reality, offering technical consulting and custom solutions in various reference markets.

In such an important event organized by AIMAN, Priver finds a space to share its innovations and makes predictive maintenance a moment of continuous learning and evolution.

Priver is always at the forefront in the search for advanced solutions, thanks to continuous collaboration with leading industry partners for sustainable and informed investment.
